Cookies and storage
We do not use advertising cookies. We use an essential secure session cookie only when an authorised administrator signs in. We also use local storage to remember that you dismissed the cookie notice and session storage to avoid counting repeated fundraiser page refreshes in one tab.
Website analytics
Public pages use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand visits and performance. These are configured without analytics cookies and help us improve the supporter journey.
Donation information we collect
When you donate, we collect the details needed to process and record your gift, such as your name, email address if supplied, donation amount, donation type, fundraiser/campaign, anonymous preference and supporter message. If you choose Gift Aid, we also collect your home address and declaration details so AWET can support Gift Aid records and claims.
How we use and share data
We use donation data to process payments, keep donation records, administer Gift Aid where selected, manage fundraising totals and respond to supporter queries. Payments are handled by Stripe. Website hosting, database and analytics services are provided by Vercel/Turso. Gift Aid information may be used for HMRC claim and audit purposes. We do not sell supporter data.
Retention and your rights
We keep donation and Gift Aid records for as long as needed for charity accounting, Gift Aid, legal and audit requirements. You can ask to access, correct or update your personal information, or ask questions about how it is used, by contacting AWET. Some records may need to be retained where required for legal, accounting or HMRC purposes.
Stripe
If you continue to payment, Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies on its checkout pages in line with its own policies. Sensitive Gift Aid address details are stored by this website for AWET and are not sent to Stripe metadata.
